US Presidential poll: Donald Trump pulls ahead of Hillary Clinton 9 weeks away from election

Ahead of the November 8 US presidential election, Republican party candidate Donald Trump has edged out Hillary Clinton by two points among likely voters, in a new poll organized by CNN/ORC.

Trump tops Clinton 45% to 43% in the new survey, with Libertarian Gary Johnson standing at 7% among likely voters in this poll and the Green Party's Jill Stein at just 2%.

According to CNN, Clinton's lead has largely waned despite a challenging month for Trump, which saw an overhaul of his campaign staff, announcements of support for Clinton from several high-profile Republicans and criticism of his campaign strategy.

Trump's rise in the polls has been attributed to his recent immigration speech where he said illegal immigrants with criminal records will be deported back to their countries and Mexicans will pay for the wall that will be built to divide the U.S from Mexico.

According to the poll, Women choose Clinton (53% to 38%) while men shift Trump's way (54% to 32%). Among women, those who are unmarried make up the core of her support, 73% of unmarried women back Clinton compared with just 36% of married women. Among men, no such marriage gap emerges, as both unmarried and married men favor Trump.

In a recent chat with Potpourri, the sexy, charismatic and unassuming ebony beauty bares her mind on some sensitive issues relating to sex, relationships and her career as an actress.

“I am left handed, I like light-skinned guys and very emotional,” she says, describing herself in simple terms.

“I can’t date a poor man and would have preferred having a bigger butt,” she added but declined to comment further on why she prefers bigger butt to her humongous, captivating boobs.

Bolaji has only been on her acting journey for four years but the horizon looks good for her.

“I have been acting for like four years now but people say you start counting from when you started making impact. So on that note, I became relevant from two years ago. My first film was when I was in the university, that is the University of Ilorin. After which I got enrolled at Royal Art Academy. I was part of some of their projects like Okon goes to school, Unbedded Niece and some other films,” she says, beaming with smiles

54 year old Female pastor arrested for operating underage prostitution cartel inside church in Ogun (PHOTOS)

The Ogun state police command has arrested a 54 year old woman, Idowu Olupinla pictured right, for allegedly operating a prostitution cartel with teenagers aged between 14 to 19, right inside her Cherubim and Seraphim Church at Ijoko-Ota area of the state.

According to investigations by the police, the suspect harbors the young girls in the church premises and arranges for men to have sex with them for a fee.

Parading her before newsmen at the state police command in Abeokuta yesterday September 4th, the state Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Ilyasu, said the young ladies who were found in the church premises have been taken to a hospital for medical examination.

One of the victims said many of the girls were from broken homes and sought a place to stay before they were lured into prostitution by the supposed pastor.

According to her, they sleep with men for N500 and give the prophetess N200 commission. The teenager said many of them have had multiple abortions so as to continue living in the church and that she has had 5 abortions.

“I lost my father and decided to stay with the prophetess, Idowu Olupinla, who always prophesied and prayed for me. She said that we should allow the boys who are members of the church who came for crusade to sleep with us in the church premises and pay us N500. So I have been staying with the prophetess for about one year and men have been having sex with us in the church premises, and I have done five abortions with the drug that the prophetess gave us. We are almost 10 girls staying in church of the prophetess as hostages until the police came to rescue us.” Denying the claims, the suspect said “I don’t know them. I have never been involved in anything of the sort they said. I never took any money from them. These are mere allegations against me. I am the founder of the church. All I know is that everybody is free to come and pray in my church and bring either the husband or wife along.”

The police says he would soon be charged to court for human trafficking and child abuse.

ISIS 'cut off from rest of world' after rebel fighters expel terrorist group from Turkish border

Rebel Free Syrian Army, backed by a Turkish Military ground offensive on Sunday expelled ISIS terror group from the Turkish borders meaning ISIS has now lost control of its last territories on the Turkey-Syrian border.

After three years in control of portions of the border, ISIS' grasp over the last border villages disappeared in a matter of hours on Sunday.

A spokesperson for the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said Isis had conceded control of its last two villages on the border, retreating to positions around 7-8km to the south.

Rami Abdulrahman, from the UK-based Observatory told Independent UK: "Everything is finished. There is no more Isis at the border."

Three hours before the Turkish-rebel advance was complete, Isis was still reported as holding four villages. Two hours before, the Observatory said "There is only 4-6km still under Isis control at the border, just two villages and a farm, and after that they [FSA] will control the whole area.

"It will be a few hours, and then Isis will be cut off from the rest of the world."

Turkey's Anadolu news agency also ran a report saying that the advance had “removed terror organization Daesh's [Isis] physical contact with the Turkish border in northern Syria." 

Asked how the Turkish-led offensive had been able to secure a stretch of 55km in just two days, Mr Abdulrahman said: "Isis have stopped fighting there, they are moving out.

"We said after they lost Manbij, Isis would start to lose everywhere. Sure enough, when the Turkish forces went into Jarablus that was not really fighting, there was no one killed from either side."

"Isis is losing the border because they had operations againt the Free Syrian Army, and also operations against the Kurdish, and against the regime,"

Turkey's Prime Minister Binali Yildirim said in a speech on Sunday;

 “We will never allow the formation of an artificial state in the north of Syria,” referring to the Kurdish desire for autonomy in the region.

"We are there to protect our borders, ensure the safety of our citizens' lives and property, and to protect the territorial integrity of Syria."

North Korea executes vice premier for dozing off during meeting

 North Korea has executed a vice premier for showing disrespect during a meeting presided over by leader Kim Jong-Un, South Korea said Wednesday, after reports that he fell asleep.
The regime also banished two other senior officials, Seoul said, the latest in a slew of punishments Kim is believed to have ordered in what analysts say is an attempt to tighten his grip on power.
"Vice premier for education Kim Yong-Jin was executed," Seoul's Unification Ministry spokesman Jeong Joon-Hee said at a regular briefing.


Kim was killed by a firing squad in July as "an anti-party, anti-revolutionary agitator," added an official at the ministry, who declined to be named.
"Kim Yong-Jin was denounced for his bad sitting posture when he was sitting below the rostrum" during a session of North Korea's parliament, and then underwent an interrogation that revealed other "crimes", the official told reporters.
The mass-selling JoongAng Ilbo reported on Tuesday that top regime figures had been punished, but identified the education official by a different name.


"He incurred the wrath of Kim after he dozed off during a meeting presided over by Kim," it quoted a source as saying.
"He was arrested on site and intensively questioned by the state security ministry".

The unification ministry said two other senior figures were forced to undergo re-education sessions.
One of them was Kim Yong-Chol, a top official in charge of inter-Korean affairs and espionage activities against the South.
The 71-year-old Kim is a career military intelligence official who is believed to be the mastermind behind the North's frequent cyberattacks on Seoul.


Kim is also blamed by the South for the sinking of a South Korean warship in 2010 near the disputed sea border with the North in the Yellow Sea.
Kim was banished to a farm in July for a month for his "arrogance" and "abuse of power," the ministry official said.
The spymaster, who was reinstated this month, is likely to be tempted to prove his loyalty by committing provocative acts against the South, the official said.
"Therefore, we are keeping close tabs on the North", he said.
Professor Yang Moo-Jin at the University of North Korean Studies said the vice premier's execution could be indirectly verified when Pyongyang's state media reveals the names of attendees at the government's anniversary ceremony on September 9.


That confirmation will be important; Seoul in February said North Korean military chief of staff Ri Yong-Gil had been executed -- only for Ri to turn up at a party rally in May.

South Korea's Yonhap news agency put the number of party officials executed during Kim Jong-Un's rule at over 100.
The most notorious case was that of Kim's uncle and onetime No. 2 Jang Song-Thaek, who was executed for charges including treason and corruption in December 2013.
In April 2015, it was reported that Kim had his defence minister Hyon Yong-Chol summarily executed with an anti-aircraft gun.
Cheong Seong-Chang, a senior researcher at the private Sejong Institute, said the "reign of terror" that is characteristic of a Stalinist state showed no sign of abating under Kim.
"But the intensity of the reign of terror depends on changes to the internal and external political environment", Cheong said.


Reports of the latest execution coincide with a series of high-profile defections from the North.
North Korea's deputy ambassador to Britain sought refuge in the South with his family, the unification ministry said earlier this month.
Thae Yong-Ho was driven by "disgust for the North Korean regime" and concerns for his family's future, it said.
Twelve waitresses and their manager who had been working at a North Korea-themed restaurant in China also made headlines when they arrived in the South in April as the largest group defection for years.

About 10 North Korean diplomats made it to the South in the first half of this year alone, Yonhap said, quoting informed sources.

Gabon Parliament set on fire after President Ali Bongo was declared winner (Photos)

Angry protesters on Wednesday, set fire to Gabon’s national assembly as thousands of people took to the streets after an announcement that President Ali Bongo had been re-elected.

The clashes erupted immediately Bongo was declared the winner of Saturday’s presidential poll, with opposition supporters chanting “Ali must go".

Two people were killed and dozens injured injured as Gabon security forces stormed the opposition's headquarters early Thursday morning, a source inside the building said.

"They attacked around 1:00 am (0000 GMT). It is the Republican Guard. They were bombarding with helicopters and then they attacked on the ground. There are 19 people injured, some of them very seriously,"  said Ping, who was not at the party headquarters himself.

The president of the opposition National Union party, Zacharie Myboto, who was inside the besieged building, said security forces were hurling tear gas canisters and had opened fire.

"For nearly an hour the building has been surrounded. They want to enter the building… it is extremely violent," he said shortly after the siege began.

A government spokesman said the operation was to catch “criminals” who had earlier set fire to the parliament building.

"Armed people who set fire to the parliament had gathered at Jean Ping’s headquarters along with hundreds of looters and thugs… they were not political protesters but criminals,”"said Alain-Claude Bilie-By-Nze.

A heavy military and police presence had brought large parts of Libreville to a standstill and internet access has also been cut.

"We have said that the people of Gabon are in danger. They (the international community) should come and help us against the clan (of Bongo)," Ping told AFP.

Results of the presidential election were announced Wednesday afternoon, handing Bongo a second term and extending the nearly five decade-long rule by his family.

The results, which gave Bongo 49.8 percent to Ping’s 48.23 percent  remain “provisional” until they are approved by the constitutional court.

The opposition has described the election as fraudulent and called for voting results from each of Gabon’s polling stations to be made public to ensure the credibility of overall outcome.

Bongo took power in 2009 in a violence-marred election that followed the death of his father Omar Bongo, who had ruled the oil-rich former French colony for 41 years.

UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon called for calm and expressed concern over the clashes and reports of arson, urging political leaders "to address their differences peacefully and to address any disputes they may have through existing constitutional and legal channels", the UN said in a statement.
